About Hope

"When evil people plot, good people must plan. When evil people shout ugly words of hatred, good people must commit themselves to the glories of love." - Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

All the great things are simple, and many can be expressed in a single word: freedom, justice, honor, duty, mercy, hope.
Winston Churchill

Any people anywhere, being inclined and having the power, have the right to rise up, and shake off the existing government, and form a new one that suits them better. This is a most valuable - a most sacred right - a right, which we hope and believe, is to liberate the world.
Abraham Lincoln

The Flora Isabel MacDonald National Security and Armed Forces Plan

Flora MacDonald was Canada's first woman foreign minister the recipient of the Lester Pearson Medal of Peace.

Enhanced National and International Security Plan

 - Two new Northern bases for the Armed Forces with a strong First Nations component and permanent land access roads.  This will prove sovereign ownership while opening the North for industry, commerce, travel and tourism, investment, development and preservation and further integration of Northern Canada into the national fabric.
"We stand on guard for thee!"

PLUS - A comprehensive renewal of the Armed Forces, RCMP, CSIS and all security forces internal and external - to deploy for a unified assault on the looming environmental catastrophe and the national security implications of that threat – including Security Needs Assessment.

- AND -

Strengthened Arctic Sovereignty with an expanded First Nations role

- expanded and enhanced Northern [First Nations] Rangers Corps

- two new integrated northern military bases with access by road, air and sea

...AND for our brave veterans of national service in the military and elsewhere...

The Senator Roméo Dallaire Veterans of Foreign Conflicts and Foreign Service Priority Support Program - including - Members of the Armed Forces, diplomats, intelligence personnel, security personnel and families. Priceless!  Named after the Hero of Rwanda and Hotel Rwanda who is a voice for Veterans Rights in the Canadian Parliament.

The current conditions in which our vets live are shameful and we need to start living without this kind of shame.  Naming a highway after our heroes is not enough.

- More Food for Thought -

"Have we not come to such an impasse in the modern world that we must love our enemies - or else? The chain reaction of evil - hate begetting hate, wars producing more wars - must be broken, or else we shall be plunged into the dark abyss of annihilation." ~ Martin Luther King Jr

Let us always remember that "war is the last stage of diplomacy."  It is NOT a viable and sustainable economic driver.
